Le Temps Retrouve: The end is dawning

mourningdiaries:

We’ve reduced ourselves to
rhetoric and metaphors—-
We can never go back
The time has passed by like
balls of snow rolling down hill—-
We are heavy with unfathomable weights
and you asked for redemption—-
I asked for restitution.

We are the desiccated trees of winter
that have lost everything in…

  • As soon as you feel lucky to get to spend time with soneone, you begin to lose your value. You ask to hang out and hope you fit into their schedule, you put in tons of effort and do things you hope will make them happy, they just dismiss it. Never try it for you. You try to help, pushed to the side. Since when do I have to beg you to go on a date with me? this is rediculous. Try to tell you what's bothering me...guilt tripped. Relationships aren't supposed to be one sided.

What’s so hard about one nice gesture on your own? Why does everything take me asking you 30 times. Just once. For Gods sake.

Life is unfair. You put someone first who puts you second. You study your ass off for a final only to get a C. You give 110% to someone in a relationship who only gives 40%. You’re there for a best friend at 3:00am and the next day they don’t pick up their phone. It seems like you’re giving everyone everything and they’re just walking away with it.

YES IM REBLOGGING THIS MORE THAN ONCE FUCK

I’m going to tell you what a demon once told me: It is okay to want your own happiness. It’s okay to care about yourself the most. It’s okay to do what’s healthy for YOU. When someone hits you, it’s okay to hit back and then ask them what the hell they expected. It’s okay. You are not obligated to sit there and smile and swallow every bit of shit everyone heaps on you. You are more than furniture, you’re more than window dressing, you’re not their shiny toy. You’re human, and you have the right to say ‘That was shitty of you’. You have a right to say ‘Let me feed that back to you; tell me, how does it taste?’ You have a right to protest your own mistreatment and set boundaries for respectful interactions. The rest of the world doesn’t realize you have this right, and they will act offended and appalled when you exercise it, but it is yours.
